Mo Cacace, LMFT has practiced as a family therapist since 1989. She has experience working with diverse populations; adolescents and their families, trauma from sexual, psychological and physical abuse, domestic violence issues, individuals with a history of substance abuse, individuals living with HIV/AIDS, gender identity issues, couple issues(gay, straight and transgender). Mo has also worked with the incarcerated population for 5 years and the parole/probation system with clients. Mo has experience working in a medical clinic seeing patients who do not have insurance or are on Medicaid treating individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, bipolar or PTSD. Mo utilizes a systems theory approach when working with families and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy(CBT) when working with individuals and couples. Mo has also been a certified Hatha Yoga  instructor since 1980 and has been a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists since 1992; a Clinical Member of American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists(AAMFT); A Diplomate in Psychotherapy in The American Psychotherapy Association since 2000 and has been licensed in the State of Colorado since 2009 and licensed prior to that in Connecticut since 1991.
